I keep seeing a "Modern" setup, as though it's the most important factor, when "Quality" is always the main factor.Ī GTX1050 will get beaten by a GTX980, and a HD470 is no match for a Fury X. That's using an i7-3770k, EVGA 1080 FTW2, and a 1TB 850 EVO SSD, no issues on that setup.Ī good CPU (Single thread performance), seems to be the biggest factor, then the GPU, as always. I never drop beloe 50 FPS, and average around 70. Basically, it turns off background apps, that I've completely disabled already. I don't use Game mode, as I find it has no effect. My native is 1440p (2560×1440), so it renders at 4 times that, and downsamples to native, for smoother images (Anti-aliasing smoothness) Will give better quality results, but it's not a good idea for those with performance problems. I have all these set as Global, except Power ManagementĭSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) = 4.00× (Native Resolution) Nvidia Control Panel (in Old style CP on W10)Īll the settings are located there, mouse over each Option, and get a description of each setting Could be a network issue rather than a performance one, but I have no idea. Have you experienced this, and if so, do you have a fix?

It doesn't crash (unless I get click happy), but it does hang for a bit. You can use FRAPS to measure and log frame rates, if you want to empirically test different settings.Īny time I open the Auction House, my game freezes for several seconds. The above command will reduce the view distance, but you can experiment with different numerical values and see what happens.

I haven't tried it, but the following command does exist: /option RenderSetting_ViewDistance 25 Select SWL in the drop-down menu (you may have to "Add" it if you haven't done so before) Icanhazissuefixed? Any time I open the Auction House, my game freezes for several seconds. :-)ĭo you have any utilities for tweaking or reporting that you recommend? I really haven't done much in the way of a hobbiest in years, but I think I am feeling nostalgic.

SCORCHED 3D BORDERLESS WINDOW DRIVER
Is 16x Anisotripic Filtering in SWL, or part of the driver control panel?ĭo you know of a way to increase the draw distance? I want to stand on the light house and spot the zombies Egypt. Maybe I've been using nVidia Experience too much and not tweaking like a good gamer, but I have a few questions. But now I want to be an even happier camper and use your information! I generally have good performance and graphics in most games, so I'm a happy camper. I have a 980GTX and rarely think about these things. You aren't just going drr drr and complaining about issues, and I commend you on your tips. In fact, I can tell you put a lot of effort into this. I thought you might be like that dude, but you obviously aren't. Just a guy staring a number instead of his screen. That, IMHO, does not equate to poor performance. He confirmed that they never (or almost never) dipped below that. He was complaining that his FPS was only in the 70's or so. I saw a comment from someone once, complaining of performance issues on his modern computer.
